We used our imagination to row down the chocolate river and visit the inventing room!
3LH were using force meters to answer their scientific question on forces!
3LH used Revelation Art on the computer. This product can also be used to create graphic animation, which we will be learning in the next couple of weeks. To link with Refugee week, the children ‘painted’ what home meant to them, after reading a very sad story about The Colour of Home.
3LH went on a hunt to find the golden ticket to Willy Wonka’s chocolate factory. This was so they could go on a tour of ‘The Chocolate Room’ and do some fabulous descriptive writing.
3LH went to the cafe to understand and apply the principles of healthy eating, prepare a variety of dishes and understand where products come from. We made tsatziki, guacamole and pea pate.
Thanks to the fantastic support of our parents, we were able to take the whole of Year 3 to the local woods. We were following a clue that we’d found earlier last week. We found some old documents about our local area…we need to let the Lord Mayor know and decide what to do next!
3LH had a fabulous time at Harlow Carr! They were experts on the different parts of a plant and did a fabulous job of being pollinators!
